playbacksoftworks.com is a static site. We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers, and we do not collect personal information from visitors browsing the site.
Our Games
When you create an account in one of our games, we collect:
- Username — chosen by you at registration
- Password — stored as a one-way cryptographic hash (bcrypt); we never store your plaintext password
- Game save data — character progress, inventory, currencies, and settings
- Session tokens — used to keep you logged in during a play session
We do not collect your real name, physical address, phone number, or payment card information. If you play as a guest without registering, no account data is stored.
Multiplayer Data
In live multiplayer areas, your character's approximate in-game position and movement are transmitted to our real-time game servers so other players in the same realm can see you. This data is transient and is not retained after your session ends.
Mobile & Steam Clients
Our Android, iOS, and Steam builds are wrappers around the same game client and collect the same account and gameplay data described above. We do not use mobile advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) or third-party analytics SDKs.
How We Use Your Information
- To create, save, and restore your game progress across sessions and devices
- To authenticate your account when you log in
- To power real-time multiplayer features

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating our games and supporting our players.

Account and save data is stored on game servers hosted by Railway (railway.app). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. We apply industry-standard practices to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Railway — our server infrastructure provider, which hosts game databases
- Platform stores — Google Play, the Apple App Store, and Steam, which process app distribution and any in-app purchases on their platforms

In-App Purchases
Where our games offer in-app or in-game purchases, payment processing is handled entirely by the relevant platform (Google Play, Apple App Store, or Steam). We do not receive or store your payment card details.
